Concrete Inspiration

Concrete Inspiration

From ancient Romans to cityscape freeways and from Pantheon dome to Hoover dam, concrete has been one the most used construction materials. The durability, formability and structural properties of concrete has made it a material that has been used in all sort of construction from airport runways to bridges. Especially if you live in a megalopolis such as Los Angeles, on a daily basis you encounter this material everywhere.
We at VerteX design studio, look at this material through new lenses. We see the beauty and simplicity of it. We try to push the limits of possibilities and come up with new ways of molding concrete such as fabric (both as form and fabric concrete) and using it in its different mix, such as GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) and UHPC (Ultra High Performance Concrete) in much smaller scales to create products for our day to day use.
We have explored various shapes and forms such as
FABRIC CONCRETE, COFFEE TABLE, COUNTER TOP, STOOL, LIGHT, TILE, ACCESSORIES , SINK, TABLE TOP and SLAB.
